I am passionate about a few things in this life - God, my kids, ASL, lifelong learning and building relationships. I have a strange sense of humor, I listen well, I enjoy serving others with my God-given gifts, I strive to be a woman after God's heart first in everything I do. As for the "Geekette" part, I must admit to a passion for the geekier things in life. I enjoy using and learning new technologies, watching Discovery (I recently bought tickets to go see two of the "Mythbusters" in person - it was a great night), and reading/watching science fiction (anything Star Trek is on my list, but also like Stargate, Fringe, etc). I have two kids who are 17 and 16, so I'm transitioning from "parent" to "life coach". It's not easy to change roles after all these years, so I rely heavily on God's guidance. I am relying on Him for this whole online dating thing too! I hope to meet someone refreshingly candid and forthright. A man who understands his role as head of his house. Someone who is prepared and searching for a marriage partner (no serial daters, please). A man who knows that friendship is the strongest foundation on which to build a marriage and he is willing to put in the time, effort and patience needed. Because the choices are so limited in what I would *prefer* as far as age, etc is concerned - allow me to clarify it here (remember these are my preferences, God very well have other plans in mind for me - He usually does!). I am 38 years old, I am not looking for someone much younger or much older than I am. I am a woman with CURVES, and it is really okay with me! If it isn't your thing, no problem!
