MeMan4God's essay
I am a musician and songwriter. I am presently working on a music ministry, which I pray will expose the new songs I have received from the Holy Spirit to many believers and non-believers. I am preparing for my first presentation, which is scheduled for October 18, 2009, but the date is subject to change.

It is a privilege and an honor to write songs for our Lord.

Presently, I busy myself with cooking my own meals, cleaning up in the kitchen, doing my chores, taking care of the yard, working on my computers, and writing and learning my new songs.

Yesterday (9/15/2009) I made some applesauce from fresh crab apples that grow on a tree in my yard. It was a lot of work, but boy does that applesauce taste good!!!

I play the guitar, bass and keyboards. I studied music, and can tell you how the notes work with each other, but reading and playing the piano from sight is a different matter. I also tap dance, and grew up as a ballroom dancer, taking professional lessons, and performing on stage.

I am trusting that the rest of my life can be spent in making music for the Lord, and sharing my time with a woman who truly loves me, and makes a commitment to be married until “death do us part”, and means it!!!

My family is mostly in Austin, Texas at this time. I have one daughter living in California. She is my youngest.

In my early days I have written poetry. I am a published songwriter, having self published a couple of projects. My record label is called Mountain Music Records.

For exercise, I like to hit the baseball then go pick it up. Sometimes kids will be at the park and we will play at baseball together. I love kids. They are a joy, most of the time. I also like to play tennis, and shoot a few hoops. On the quiet side, I also play chess.

My new bride will most likely be shorter than me, from 5’ to 5’6”, but that is not an absolute. I am in pretty good shape, although I do have a few extra pounds, I am watching my weight very carefully again, looking to get down to my high school weight. This morning I tripped the scale at 189 pounds. I am hoping to see 175 in a few months. I eat simple foods, and I like to eat close to the source.

I do make exceptions, but generally restaurant food does not appeal to me. You never know what kind of additives they will put in their food, such as MSG, which is not good for you. But that first date can still be at a restaurant, and perhaps a movie, but I would love to take a walk and get to know you, and get to know about your love for our Lord, Jesus Christ.

I am not a total health nut, but when I am on my diet as I am now, I do not eat junk food.

There is a lot to know about me. Some people say that I am a” Jack of All Trades, but a Master of None”. I have a daughter that says I am a master at all of them. She may be just a tad prejudiced about that, but I do enjoy working with my hands. I fix cars, work with wood, I plumbed my own house from scratch after tearing out all of the old plumbing, both supply lines and drain lines. I love to work with wood. I made my own woodwork trim for my floors. I am very handy with tools and fixing things.

I do not like to throw things away. I like to fix them so they work again, or get someone else to fix them if I cannot.

Please feel free to write to me, even if you do not believe that we are a match. I might write to you just to say hello, because I feel led by the Spirit to make contact with you. We may have other things in common and would simply like to stay in touch. Do not let the age difference scare you. I am not on the make. If you want to be friends and talk, that is great.

I love the Lord. He is my God. I only want his will in my life.

If you want to know more about me, please go to my blog on this site. There is an in depth biography which I posted on SmartVoter.com in 1998.

Describe the Perfect First Date Jesus said, "Be ye therefore perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect". He was the only perfect man. To ask two imperfect people to attempt the perfect date is like asking them to attempt an impossible task. However, carrying on in this imperfect realm, I would say a nice dinner, conversation leading to know each other more, and discovering our mutual love for the Lord would lead us to want to talk more, and spend more time with each other. A passion for the Lord and a passion for each other will be a nice experience. This may not be perfect, but it would be a good start.

The Husband is Head of the Wife as Christ is Head of the Church!!!
I have been thinking about a few bible verses that do not get talked about very much, verses, which I believe are at the heart of marriage. For now, I will pass on the discussion of Ephesians 5:21 which talks about submission of the wife to the husband, and move on to 5:22 which simply states “For the husband is head of the wife as Christ is head of the Church…” (All bible quotes are from the KJV) Today men are hard pressed to find a wife who will regard them in this manner, but the bible does not mince words. Our modern world today cannot change the meaning of these words, yet today’s “modern” women seem to think that they are not under the parameters of this verse. They do not revere (Ephesians 5:33 uses the word “reverence”) their husbands as head of the home, but rather believe they share in the leadership. When conjugal duality referred to below is met then, in a manner of speaking, there is a shared leadership, but this does not give the woman “equal” access when decisions need to be made and a disagreement persists. The women, under this verse, should never usurp the husband’s authority as head of household. Most men do not exert their authority, and when they do their wives complain that they are being controlling, especially if their husbands quote the bible. A 1982 bible commentary puts it this way regarding Ephesians 5:22 “…Authority and government are lodged in the husband. The home has its center and unity in the husband. The truest unity is conjugal duality…. Headship in a living union where Christ and His church become one. Ephesians 5:24 “Therefore, as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.” The commentary goes on to say: “This description of the submissive obedience of wives is clear, concise, complete and correct.” Commentary quotes are from the Liberty Bible Commentary, Volume II, The Old Time Gospel edition. Published by Thomas Nelson. I do realize that this topic is not very popular with most women of today, but I am opening up the discussion to see where it will take us. I hope to be pleasantly surprised in the long run. Blessings to all, Anthony J. Miley

Christians in Politics...
We, in the Unites States of America, live in a country that has been taken over by evil (the same can be said for many other countries, and the countries the US controls). Our leaders and elected officials do not have the will of the people in mind, but instead they make decisions that go against the will of the people and undermine our freedoms as laid down by the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights. Our Constitution is totally ignored unless it is useful to their whim at the time. In my opinion, we need to take our country back from these people. If you read the book of Micah you will find that the people Israel were in about the same place that we are now in mid 800 BC. Officials were taking bribes, and judges were taking money for a desired decision. I love the promise that God is still in control now as he was then, and that the greedy people who do not think about the welfare of the masses but only want to sap their wealth will pay the price in the long run. We need to pray for our leaders, but also realize that they were chosen by the world powers that be, or are being controlled by them (there are few exceptions, but they do exist, such as Congressman Ron Paul). If we are to take our country back, we need to get good honest people, Christians, involved in politics. Blessings, Anthony J. Miley
