I’ve been on the mountaintop, know the territory well, and I want to be there again. I met my wife when I was 40; we were happy and completely fulfilled for 24 years. Now, after two difficult years of helping her with her illness and one year of being alone, I'm ready to move forward to a new adventure and trust God with the outcome. There is no blueprint for my perfect woman, but I do know that she will be my best friend and that we will always want to be together sharing our experiences. Family life is most important. I adopted my daughter at birth eight years ago and she has been a total blessing. She is attending a wonderful private school and embraces every aspect of her life: her teachers, friends, academics, piano, swimming, and her prayer life. She is respectful and helps me in whatever capacity she is able. She is beautiful. I travel regularly and have avoided tours preferring to go out on my (our) own or with a private guide on occasion. Nevertheless, the past is the past and there are so many things available to do to have fun that it is just a matter of finding our mutual interests. My favorite vacation is chartering a bareboat in the Caribbean, stocking it with wonderful food, taking off for two weeks of sailing, and every night dropping anchor just offshore of a deserted beach, grilling dinner on deck, watching the sun set, and finally dancing to romantic music under the stars. That being said, I’ve done that many times, and if for some reason it’s not appealing, I’m game to try something new. My main career was manufacturing and I was awarded the highest honors in my industry for design and innovation. I retired early to take care of my family. My home office includes a gym and I like to lift weights and do aerobics. I look and feel young for my age. I'm straightforward and direct but believe it's important to be polite. However, you are a mystery, and whether you are direct or indirect, I'll get the message.
